pastarchivesThe Pages of Harmony history is currently exhibted in 6 scrapbooks which include pictures of our activities since the inception of our chapter in the early fifties.  We have served the community of Spokane for over 50 years through chorus perfornances and quartet singing for the enjoyment of the many people who appreciate the special music known as barbershop harmony.

The men who comprise the Pages of Harmony Chorus are committed to advancing the Barbershop Harmony style through fellowship, education, performances and community service to the larger area of the Inland Empire.  Many of our Quartets over the years, have provided the Spokane community with barbershop harmony events such as Valentine sing outs, birthdays, and other special occasions.  The Chorus under the capable directorship of Mike Elliott, has performed admirably in theme shows and cabarets throughout the years.

The Spokane Chapter of the Barbershop Harmony Society is a member of the Northwest Evergreen District comprised of the states of Washington, Oregon, Montana and Canada.  Competition in chorus and quartet singing at the local division level is encouraged which can then lead to the participation of competition at the District level.  Winners of this event would be invited to the international competition held once a year in different cities throughout the U.S.  The 2009 international  competition event will be held in Anaheim, California this year.

The Barbershop Harmony Society is open to anyone wishing to explore their inner singing nature at a higher level.  This can take the form of participation in the chorus or quartet singing.  We have an active membership ranging from  those men in their twenties to men in their eighties.  For a quality learning experience  and the enjoyment of performance at the best you can be, joining the Pages of Harmony chorus will challenge you for a life time.
